Washing your Minky Blanket is an easy task as long as you follow a few simple rules.

Washing

  • Wash in cold water
  • Wash items separately when possible 
  • Absolutely No Fabric Softeners or Laundry Pods
  • Avoiding scents and additives is also recommended.

Drying

  • No Heat
  • Hang to Dry
  • Tumble/Air Dry to fluff blanket to it's original softness

  We recommend using a sensitive skin or a baby detergent for best results.  Never use heavy soaps or fabric softeners as the chemicals will cling to the fibers and drastically reduce the softness of our blankets.  (Laundry Pods contain Fabric Softeners and Heavy Soaps). 

  When drying your blanket, ensure there is no heat, heat will damage the fibers and reduce softness.  We recommend hanging your blanket until dry and then using air dry (or tumble) with no heat to fluff your blanket back to its original softness.  Also beware most dryer sheets contain fabric softener which can reduce the softness of your blanket.

If you follow these simple instructions and take care of your minky blanket it will remain soft for many years to come.
