I didn’t know that ‘Mira’ has a lot of meaning. I think I am lucky that my mom named me Mira because, honestly, I really don’t know where my mom derived my name.?

My husband and I love the name Mira for lots of reasons. It has different meanings in many different countries: Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, Japan, Korea, and India. It also has roots in Latin, Sanskrit, Slavic, and Hebrew languages. We like the universality of the name. It sounds beautiful and the primary meanings are “wondrous beauty” and “of the sea.”
