Kids rarely play outside these days. We usually don’t hear the truck until it’s too late and it’s passing our house. If the app could alert you when it’s in the neighborhood that would put people on the alert to get their money and kids ready. Maybe even announce it via Google home or Alexa. If the franchisor is not going to maintain the app, hand it over to someone who will.

Ice cream Mr Softee

I have been looking for the Mr. Softee truck around my neighborhood for about a month. Any time he was present it was never an ice cream moment, but recently with more ice cream moments he seemed to have faltered. My search culminated today after I received bad feedback on an exam. All I wanted was a Mr. Softee ice cream that I had never had before. Issue: it was pouring down rain and cold. No well run ice cream business would ever serve ice cream and except to make a profit in this weather. I ran a Google search of how to track him. I didn’t want to go outside on my already sour mood and have it worsened by him not being there. I downloaded this app with its measly 2.4 stars to see if Mr Softee was around, skeptical due to it saying yes there was a truck nearby and reading the poor reviews. Imagine my surprise when my umbrella blowing in the wind reveals itself to the Mr. Softee truck. The app was right. 5 stars.

So I’m trying to open an account, but I can’t enter my birthday the correct way to get to the next step. Is it that I’m too old? Is 34 considered “old” now? If it is, then that’s disappointing... and now I’ve gone and given myself a complex. Now I want to eat my age in ice cream to make me feel better! Oh, wait! I can’t, because I can’t create a dang account to stalk... I mean track... the Mister Softee truck that comes around my neighborhood. Fix it! Please! I’m tired of going to Sonic for ice cream! I’ve gone there so much that they have judgmental looks when I show up now! Now I’ve gone and given myself another complex! You see what happens when apps don’t work? You see!? There are consequences to your actions; for shame!Haha I’m only joking around before anyone starts to lose their crap. But I’m not kidding about the birthday thing tho... that is for real not working. Fix it, please!

I tired it immediately after downloading. I didn’t sign up for an account, and only used the ‘guest’ mode. It worked flawlessly. I’m not sure why others are having trouble, but in NYC, it accurately pointed out the Mister Softees, and showed when they were leaving (and I did a visual confirmation, as there were several in a few block radius of where I was).
