MLB: The Show 22 - Here's What Comes In Each Edition - IGN

Good news, baseball fans -- MLB: The Show 22 is set to release for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on April 5. (Some editions are already available, though). As you may have noticed, this year’s installment of Sony’s baseball game is landing on all the major game consoles -- not just PlayStation, or even just PlayStation and Xbox like last year. It’s available to preorder now in a couple of editions (see it at Best Buy). Below, you’ll find all the details about what comes in each edition, along with preorder links for where it’s available. What’s New in MLB: The Show 22?

This year’s installment has most of the same modes as previous years. The Diamond Dynasty has a new Mini Seasons mode, “where each season brings new challenges.” You can play cross-platform multiplayer, and your progress carries over if you have the game on multiple consoles. Newcomers to the series can now start at lower difficulty, thanks to the addition of two new difficulty settings.

And if you buy it on PS5 or Xbox Series X, you’ll get a new, streamlined Stadium Creator interface, plus the ability to play night games in your stadium. These versions also target 60fps and offer dynamic 4K resolution.
