Mole ratio is defined as the amount of moles of two compounds that involved in a chemical reaction. Molar ratio is determined through finding the relation between moles of one substance to another substance. The ratio is used as conversation factors between a reactant and product in solving the stoichiometry problems. Molar ratio can also be referred as mole-to-mole ratio. You can use this online molar ratio calculator to do the mole ratio calculation from the known value of first element, second element and combustion of both the elements.

Consider a chemical equation , N2 + 3H2 = 2NH3. Find the mole ratio of N2 H2 if it has the combustion of 1.8g of N and 3.2 g of H2? Molar Mass of the N =14.0067 Hence Molar mass of N2 = 14.0067 x 2 = 28.013 Molar Mass of H =1.008 Hence Molar mass of H2 = 1.008 x 2 =2.016 Substituting the values in the formula, = [ ( 3.2 / 2.016 ) / ( 1.8 / 28.013 ) ] = [ 1.5873 / 0.064255 ] =24.703 Hence the molar ratio is1 : 24.703
