This page covers the Moose (Western Moose, Western Bull Moose) location in RDR2, and how to get a Perfect Moose Pelt. The Moose is classified as Massive, and is a giant, horned animal found in water and on land in Red Dead Redemption 2. You'll most likely find them in remote regions, such as Lake Owanjila. You'll need the Moose Antler from a Western Bull Moose to for a Camp Upgrade of the Main Campfire called simply "Moose Antlers." There is also a Legendary Moose.

• The Western Bull Moose can be found in or around the western lake called Owanjilla, west of Strawberry. The Bull Moose has antlers, as opposed to the Western (Cow) Moose.

How Kill the Moose in Red Dead 2 for a Perfect Moose Pelt

To get a perfect Pelt you'll have to find a Perfect Moose and use the right weapons to kill it.

Moose are massive sized animals. Since they are penned up at a farm, simply use binoculars to find which Cow is pristine (three stars). Use a sniper rifle with High Velocity ammo, or a Bow with Improved Arrows and aim for the head to get a clean kill.

Upon killing a pristine Cow perfectly, you'll earn a perfect Cow Pelt and Prime Beef.

Best Weapons and Ammo for a Perfect Moose Pelt

• Sniper Rifle or Rifle with any ammo, except explosive (high velocity is recommended)
• Bow with Improved Arrows

Perfect Moose Pelt or Antler Uses

The Moose Antler from a Western Bull Moose is used to in a Camp Upgrade for the Main Campfire called simply "Moose Antlers."
