Most Elements are: -(A) Solid(B) Liquid(C) Gas(D) MixtureAnswer
Verified529.2k+ viewsHint :Most of the elements that are present in the periodic tables are metals. Metals comprise major s, d and f blocks, while p block has few non-metals. Complete Step By Step Answer:Most elements are metals. The reason why is that so is just that because they are metals. These have extended “metal bonding” frameworks and therefore have higher melting points than substances composed of separate molecules. There are a few metals that are liquid at room temperature and they are well used for this property but they are very rare. Many elements that are composed of separate molecules are gases under normal conditions. The worst part of it is that all the same kind of atoms don’t stick together very well, so they have very narrow ranges in which they are liquids. Bromine is the only non- metallic liquid element.White phosphorus and iodine are the only non-molecular solids. Other non-metallic elements are solids because they are all on-molecule, one large and long chain or network with each atom bonded to two or more neighbours. Most elements are solids under normal and earthly conditions because they are metals or extended networks of molecules. Also, it would also require a lot of energy to break them apart at ideal temperature.Note :All elements to exist in nature need to have some stable state and the most stable state in which nature stores things are minerals and rocks and they are solids. Even the radioactive elements are solids.Recently Updated PagesMaster Class 11 Business Studies: Engaging Questions & Answers for Success
