Mother Angelica, the founder of EWTN Global Catholic Network, died two years ago on Easter, March 27, 2016.

She died at Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, which she founded. She was 92.

This year Easter falls on April 1, which will be the second anniversary of her funeral, which was attended by movie star Jim Caviezel, who portrayed Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ," and by a large contingent of bishops and church dignitaries.

At the time of her death at her Alabama monastery, Mother Angelica was the most famous nun in the world.

Mother Angelica suffered pain most of her life after an accident as young girl when she fell using an industrial waxing machine left her in leg braces. She had a stroke in 2001 that prompted her to wear an eye patch over her left eye as she hosted her TV talk show.

On Christmas Eve 2001, she suffered a second stroke that left her mostly unable to speak. She also suffered from Bell's palsy, heart disease and asthma. She retired as chairman of EWTN in 2000 and stopped doing live TV programs after the second stroke.

EWTN continues to air recordings of her "Mother Angelica Live" talk show as "Mother Angelica Classics."
