Located not far away from Tokyo, it is a very appreciated destination of the travelers in Japan, whether to do the incredible ascent (as an accessible pilgrimage, even for the not so experienced hikers), or simply to enjoy its surrounding landscapes. Indeed, mount Fuji 🗻 is surrounded by several big lakes whose most famous are probably Kawaguchi and Ashi, which promise gorgeous hikes, traditional hotels 🏨 often accompanied by natural hotspring spas.
Even if the volcano 🌋 remains active, its last eruption goes back to 1707. Some are still doubting for a possible wake up since the terrifying earthquake of March 11th, 2011.
