MTV Star Chris 'CT' Tamburello Remembers Diem Brown As 'The ...

— -- Fans and former MTV co-stars lost a dear friend last week when Diem Brown died at the age of 32 after battling cancer for the third time.

None more so that Chris "CT" Tamburello, who dated Brown on and off during the pair's time on the network's challenges.

"You have always been My Angel," Tamburello posted on Instagram today, next to a picture of Brown and some sentimental items. "And now you have your wings. We've been thru so much over the years. Thru the ups and downs we somehow managed to keep our promise. We never gave up on each other. Our plan to be together forever hasn't changed... it's just going to take a little longer now."

He continued, "And I'm going to hold onto this ring for you till we are together again. So don't worry mama, I'm not afraid. I know you will always be with me to give me your strength. You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever."

Much like the rest of her MTV family, Tamburello was there for Brown as she was diagnosed with cancer yet again this past summer.

In September, he posted a heartfelt picture holding her hand in the hospital.

Tamburello, who first met Brown in 2006, was among the guests at Brown's funeral on Tuesday in New York City.

Also in attendance was Brown's sister Megan, who gave a eulogy and said, "Diem loved hard, lived hard and danced hard. My mom always said that Diem came out fighting since day one," according to People magazine.

Another close friend, Alicia Quarles, also spoke, saying, "Diem was the happiest person I know. Till her last breath, she never gave up. I can't even explain to you her divinity."
