Well she has had some gas problems that just break my heart. I can also hear the milk go down as she drinks and her tummy rumbles so loudly. We can also hear her as she poops, sometimes it sounds like a loud splat and sounds uncomfortable. Our Dr told us that was completely normal but as a FTM naturally makes me worry. Our Dr recommended Mylicon gas drops. Has anyone had any experience with it and how long did it take before you noticed a difference? Especially with the tummy rumble. I don't remember how long it took but I will for sure use it with this baby once she I'd here.ccharob76@love_bug2011,Yes mylicon is awesome! I use it at least twice a day for my son because he gets gassy. It works fast and totally takes away his pain. You can also use gripe water but I think the mylicon drops work better.EEvieElainesMomma@love_bug2011,I had to use them with DD. They work very quickly, not immediately but def within a few hours if it's the first dose. We had to give it to her every feeding for a while it was very helpful. She's probably gassy from adjusting to what you are eating. It's okay :)AAmanda2867Stupid question but can you OD a baby by giving them this? Like say if you think it's gas but really isn'ttthickness730@Amanda2867,My DD has gas and the hardest time pooping. I asked my pediatric nurse and she said not to give her anything. But I don't like her going thru this!! It breaks my heart. Nurs said it's natural and tht their little bodies aren't used to pooping or the feeling it gives them. I'm so tempted to give her the drops. She is 8 days old. So is it safe??aanandreasmom@love_bug2011,My son has been having the sane problem. The pharmacist told me it works better if it is given BEFORE feeding him. I just wish I knew what it is that I'm eating that is causing it.RRunqueen2@love_bug2011,I give it to my daughter before nearly every feeding. She's 3 weeks old today. I give her 0.3 ml. We had an episode of such bad gassiness last week that she was up most of the night. We haven't had that problem since using the Mylicon.
