Myrtle Beach in April is becoming busier, but the crowds of the summer vacation season for the most part have yet to arrive. The earlier parts of the month are typically quieter, with visitor numbers rising during the spring break period.

April weather in Myrtle Beach is usually very good, with many sunny and warm days, and although the water isn’t warm enough yet for extended swims, hotter days can still be just right for other beach activities.

Myrtle Beach events in April usually include the Horry County Fair toward the end of the month, the Socastee Heritage Festival, and the Coastal Highland Games. April generally also offers Easter events (when the holiday falls this month), food festivals, spring arts events, and the beginnings of some of Myrtle Beach’s outdoor concert series.

There are many other things to do in Myrtle Beach in April, including watersports, or kayak tours, or boat excursions, hiking in local state parks, golfing, shopping, museums, wildlife attractions, the nearby Brookgreen Gardens, and the area’s other varied attractions.
