Unresponsive Motor

The motor does not move or make noise

Proper Drill Bit for Application

Select proper drill bit, make sure the bit you are using is the correct type for the intended project/material. For example, If drilling through concrete be sure you are using a masonry bit, if your bit is not correct for your task the device is not working to its full potential.

Removing / Securing Bits

Insert the chuck key into the hole near the front of the drill and turn chuck key to the left (counter-clockwise) this will loosen up your current bit and allow replacement. To tighten, insert the chuck key and turn to the right (clockwise) until snug.

Incorrect drilling surface

Check the material you are drilling into make sure it is a material the drill is designed for, improper use of drill may not provide results desired.

Improper drill setting

Ensure the drill is in the proper setting for the task you are trying to accomplish. If you are drilling through concrete ensure that you are using a masonry bit and are in the hammer drill setting. If your hammer drill is not hammering, check the top of the drill and make sure the dial is turned towards the hammer icon.

Unresponsive Trigger

When pressing on the device’s trigger, the drill does not function or will not stop

Sticky Trigger

Carefully open the casing and clean debris off around the trigger, fine debris may have clogged the track that the trigger follows.

Broken Trigger Mechanism

Faulty wire connection, wires may need to be cleaned. VSR switch part number: N396491

Drill does not get any power

Check if cord has been pulled from power outlet, visually check length of cord and extension cord if using. Check breaker panel if using on a household’s electricity. breaker or plug in another device to see if faulty.

Condition of Power Cord

Make sure the cord is not frayed or has been distorted in any way. If connected to an extension cord, check cord for any damage that might have shorted device.

Plugged in without operation

After extended/continuous heavy use hammer drill is overheated 15-30 minutes continuous use. Example: stirring concrete mixture or drilling a multitude of pilot holes
