I have about 4 items of clothing that are plastered with tiny, tiny little green burrs.. It would be hours maybe even days to pick them all out. I tried a lint roller, but that didn't work... now I am waiting to see if they dry now that they are off the vine and will crumble off.
Anyone have any secrets other than wear nylon, streaking or don't cache at all (cuz that is not going to happen)?

Not easy. I just wash the item and pick them off and repeat. I few times I've just thrown socks away.

I can be at the store and back home with replacements in less time than it takes to pick them all out.

A small pair of pliers can work wonders on getting burrs out of dog hair, but you have to be very careful and have a somewhat cooperative dog ![]()
I imagine pliers would work removing burrs from clothing as well.

I use a comb.
You could always plant your clothes and start a new weed patch. ![]()

Duct tape, packing tape, anything like that should (might) pull them off.

I don't know a really effective way to remove burrs from clothing, but I do know that burrs were the inspiration for the invention of Velcro. And contrary to popular belief, Velcro was invented by a Swiss engineer named Georges de Mestral, NOT by NASA.
Unfortunately, we can't even ask Georges for advice in this matter - he died in 1990.

Hire the neighbor kid to do it for you.

I find they're easier to remove after the clothes go thru the washer and dryer. The burrs lose some of their grip and usually brush off.

Try the tape first, duct tape seems to work best. This will greatly reduce your time spent picking them out.

Drink lots of beer. This will in no way help with the burrs, but you won't care.

get a comb and break every couple of brushes so that the gaps match the size of the burrs (but are not bigger then the burrs) then pull the sock tight and brush them off
or burn the sock and do a tribal dance (worked for me, but my socks did'nt) ![]()

Same, same. But if I am still in the woods, I just vigorously rub my hands/gloves over the "prickered" areas and it tends to knock a lot of them off. The small stickers just can't take muck friction before they lose their sticking ability.

Try wearing canvas pants. Burrs or seed ticks don't stick to the material very well.

Pull your clothing taunt and scrape with a sharp knife or razor.
I use RobJon's method. I keep the offending clothing on, pull an area tight, and run a knife down the material much like you would run a blade down a whetstone. Use due care so you finish the job with the same number of apendages as you started with. ![]()

Burz Off
This tool removes burrs very well! My wife got it for me after she got sick of pulling burrs of my caching apparel.
