I scanned the code, it's coming up as B0001 Driver Frontal Stage 1 Deployment Control: Circuit Short to Ground. I tried clearing the code, but it won't clear. I don't know if the airbag went off as a result of the accident or not. According to the seller, it did not. I'm not sure if there's a sensor somewhere that's unplugged or the module needs to be reset? I don't really want to spend $500 on a new module if I don't have to. I read that CARPROG could be used to reset the module? Not sure what I can do at this point. Please help me with any info you can. Dont forget to rep+ and thanks! After I start the truck the light goes off then comes back on a few seconds later. Looking at the code again, it says it has something to do with the deployment control. Would that have anything to do with a sensor in the bumper perhaps? Once I figure out the problem, I'll post the solution for others to use if anyone else runs into this issue Thanks given by: Reply proedge ** Location OfflineJunior Member Reputation: 3 Thanks Given: 55 Thanks Received: 10 (8 Posts) Posts: 94 Threads: 10 Joined: Feb 2016 6 06-19-2017, 01:35 AM (This post was last modified: 06-19-2017, 01:36 AM by proedge.) Ok I finally got the VCM II working. I followed the airbag trouble shooting guide from Ford. It says to read the Deploy_00_R PID, it's supposed to read between 2 and 3.68 Ohms. Mine shows 65.35 ohms, so it looks like it's an open circuit. I read the error code again and it's actually B0001:13, which is an open circuit code. I'm starting to think that it could Be an issue with the clock spring. I've noticed that the steering wheel buttons don't respond as they should sometimes. I've read on other forums that a failing clockspring would typically cause that. Is there any way for me to confirm the clockspring failure before replacing it? The Ford guide talks about testing the connectors at the RCM module, but it's buried under the center console and the carpet, I don't want to have to take half the truck apart to get to It.
