Netflix Confirms Big Mouth Season 6 Premiere Date In First-look Trailer

Netflix has confirmed when Big Mouth will be returning for its sixth season.

The hit animated series last dropped in 2021 with its fifth season, and has since debuted a spin-off called Human Resources.

In a new teaser clip for the main series, we see hormone monsters Maury and Connie reference their sister show, as the latter despairs over Maury's pregnancy.

Alongside the clip, Netflix revealed that the next batch of episodes will drop on October 28 – almost exactly in two months' time.

The streamer confirmed earlier this year that Big Mouth's sixth season will be followed by a seventh alongside the news that Human Resources would be getting a second season.

Big Mouth has stirred controversy over the years, notably over the casting of white actor Jenny Slate in the biracial role of Missy – which has since been recast with Ayo Edebiri – and a taco metaphor that caused a backlash in season 3.

Speaking about the latter LGBTQ+ metaphor, co-creator Andrew Goldberg previously said: "We missed the mark here with this definition of bisexuality vs pansexuality, and my fellow creators and I sincerely apologise for making people feel misrepresented.

"Any time we try to define something as complex as human sexuality, it's super challenging, and this time we could have done better.

"Thank you to the trans, pan, and bi communities for further opening our eyes to these important and complicated issues of representation. We are listening and we look forward to delving into all of this in future seasons."
