Smart TV’s are not that much different from set top boxes like the Roku or Apple TV. That means the Netflix app is also susceptible to error UI-800-3. There are a couple of ways to fix it on a Smart TV to get normal streaming back. Just like other devices that use Netflix, the error means the TV needs to refresh its data. Restart The Smart TV Using this quick restart trick will not only fix Netflix, but it will also refresh the data on all problematic apps. This works a lot better than turning the television off and then back on. 1. Turn off the television with the remote.
2. Unplug the TV from the outlet.
3. Hold down the power button on the remote for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV back in.
5. Turn it on and try Netflix again.
Connect The TV Directly To The Modem Wireless routers or router/modem combos with bad settings prevent devices and their apps from functioning correctly. By taking it out of the equation, the Smart TV app should now work. 1. Turn off the television with the remote.
2. Using an Ethernet cable, plug it directly into the modem.
3. Unplug the modem for a full minute.
4. Plug the modem back in and wait for the indicator lights to set.
5. Turn the TV back on and Netflix should work normally.
Improve The Wi-Fi Quality A bad Wifi connection will prevent the app from updating important information. Moving the wireless router close to the Smart TV will rule out a bad connection or interference. 1. Turn off the television set.
2. Move the wireless router as close as possible.
3. Turn on the television and try Netflix again.
