Obtaining
The Nether Star can be dropped when killing a [Lv100] Vanquisher, which has a chance to spawn when killing any mob on the Crimson Isle.

Usage
Nether Stars can be used to craft the 
Vanquished Blaze Belt, 
Vanquished Ghast Cloak, 
Vanquished Magma Necklace, and 
Vanquished Glowstone Gauntlet, which when all combined grant a secret ability.
Additionally, Nether Stars can be used in order to purchase Kuudra Keys through your Faction's Emissary NPCs on the Crimson Isle, either in Scarleton or Dragontail.

Trivia
- Multiple bugs have existed in the past that have allowed players to receive an identical looking different type of Nether Star, which could be sold to NPCs for 10,000 Coins. These however have an internal ID of NETHER_STAR, rather than CORRUPTED_NETHER_STAR, meaning they cannot be used in the ways shown above.
