New Disney+ Originals Episodes Releasing On Friday's

Disney+ News October 21, 2019 Roger Palmer Once Disney+ launches, we can all look forward to new episodic content each week, as Disney is opting to use a more traditional weekly episode system, than the usual streaming binge drop, that Netflix uses.
Disney recently updated its official fact sheets, confirming that the following Disney+ Original series will all have new episodes released on Fridays:
- Marvel Hero Project
- The World According To Jeff Goldblum
- High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
- The Mandalorian
The first episode of all these shows will be available when Disney+ launches on November 12th. It has previously been confirmed that new episodes of One Day At Disney will also begin to drop weekly onto Disney+ from Friday 3rd December.
With new episodes dropping on Friday’s, it means subscribers will have all new content for the weekend.
While it does look like Friday is going to be main day for Disney+ Originals, Disney have previously confirmed Avengers: Endgame will be added to Disney+ on Wednesday December 11th. And a single episode of The Mandalorian will be added on Wednesday 18th December to avoid being released on the same day as Star Wars: Rise Of The Skywalker hits theatres. So updates might not be restricted to a single day.
Disney hasn’t yet confirmed full release schedules for Disney+, such as when legacy shows and movies will be added, or how quickly shows from National Geographic and the Disney Channel will be available on Disney+.
Recently Disney+ president of content and marketing Ricky Strauss told The Hollywood Reporter, that they are open to pivoting to a binge model down the line.
“We’re just getting started so it made sense to build our fan base with episodic content coming out once a week in a more tradition model, because we felt that if we put everything out at once it would be harder for us to build the audience, rather than having people tuning in. To be honest, also some stuff won’t be ready to binge, it’s coming in as the months go by.”
Hopefully we get a clearer picture of Disney’s release schedule for Disney+ soon.

Glad they are releasing them this way…it is frustrating to have everyone talk about a Netflix series finale, when I am only on episode 3! LOL This brings back the excitement of weekly release and digestion of my favorite content! I would love to see them vary the release day when they start coming out with more original content. Like Marvel Monday, or Star Wars Saturday, or NatGeo WHAT? haha Varying the days might be kind of fun
