New Pokemon Snap: Every New Pokemon Added In The DLC ...

Though certainly welcome, the news that Nintendo and Bandai Namco would be releasing free DLC courses for New Pokemon Snap came as a surprise to many. It took less than a week after the announcement for update 2.0 to arrive, and it brought with it three new courses (each with day and nighttime versions), some new photo requests, and 20 brand new Pokemon for players to add to their Photodexes.

The additions bring the total number of Pokemon in the game up to a fairly respectable 234. Though still some way short of the complete national Pokedex, fans seem to be pretty happy with the new content, particularly as they didn't have to pay for it. Whether more Pokemon will be added in future updates remains to be seen, but for now, at least, players at least have something to keep them busy for the foreseeable future.

Updated October 9, 2021 by Tom Bowen: For those who had already taken the time to fully complete the Photodex in New Pokemon Snap, the release of the game's 2.0 update may well have caused some mixed feelings. On the one hand, it provided players with an excuse to return to the game some four months on from its initial release. On the other, those players would now need to find and photograph 20 brand new Pokemon; each in four different poses. Anyone having trouble getting their hands on four-star photographs of the new Pokemon need worry no longer though, as this guide has been updated to include links to all of the relevant information.
