As of February 7, 2022, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has implemented new training requirements for drivers looking to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL). This new training is called Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT).

The FMCSA has launched a Training Provider Registry as the final step in this process. This registry is an online database that maintains a list of registered training providers and keeps records of those who have completed the required CDL training.
