The Minnesota Vikings and coach Mike Zimmer have not had the best of years. Despite starting the season strong with five straight wins, the Vikings were always going to struggle without a great quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater slinging the ball. They proceeded to lose four straight games and finished with an 8-8 record. On top of that, coach Zimmer had emergency surgery on his eye in the middle of the season.

It looks like the year is getting even worse as Zimmer revealed at a kids camp that he underwent yet another surgery on his right eye:

For this surgery, Zimmer had an oil bubble removed and replaced with a gas bubble that will not allow him to fly for six weeks. Zimmer had a detached retina at one point and that kept him out of a game against the Dallas Cowboys last season. The coach seems to be fine for now, but it will definitely be an ailment to watch for as it could happen again and might likely be that way considering he's now needed eight surgeries on the eye.
