Nice Is Nice!

Positive reinforcement here. Every time that we’ve flown into or out of this airport, we’ve been either going to Roquebrune-Cap Martin or flying out to visit other parts of Europe. The landing is spectacular over the water and the views of the mountains and sea are stunning. It’s a bit difficult to get used to the terminal at first, but once the traveler realizes how it works, it’s quite efficient. Seating? It’s virtually non-existent in the main part, but there are some nice cafés on the upper level with plenty of seating for the price of a cup of coffee. We Americans are too rushed in airports usually. I’ve found that if one takes a bit more time to learn a few things, it goes much, much more nicely. Also, learning even a bit of French beforehand makes for une porte ouverte!

Just Nice, Not Spectacular

Flew in/out of T2 here a few months ago. The building is quite modern and there’s enough to keep you occupied for an hour or so. We had an early evening flight and as it was winter it got dark early, but we didn’t expect it quite so dark in the airport, don’t know whether there was a power cut and only the emergency lighting was on, but it was very dark. It is hard to find a seat at busy periods, the terminal is split into three areas: domestic, Schengen and non-Schengen. The non-Schengen area with extra security is only opened just before flights are due to depart meaning you have to wait in the crowded domestic area, while you can see a nice quiet area with plenty of seats beyond the glass security barriers.

Nice view on the coast and the alps on the left side of the place when landing and taking off. No problem with the airport. It’s not really big so you won’t get lost.
