Introduction

Nick Jonas is an American professional singer, songwriter, and actor with an estimated net worth of $70 Million.

The Jonas Brothers

Before the Jonas Brothers band was formed, Nick, the youngest of the three brothers, had already shown an interest in entertainment, performing in Broadway plays at just seven years old. In 2005, at the age of thirteen, Nick released a solo Christmas album, titled Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer), through Columbia Records. Interestingly enough, while recording the album, Nick’s brothers, Joe and Kevin, were often in attendance, spending time with him in the studio. A Columbia Records executive, Steve Greenberg, noticed the voices of Nick’s older brothers and saw the potential in them forming a group.

With Greenberg’s help, in late 2005, they formed the trio, Sons of Jonas, before eventually renaming themselves the Jonas Brothers. In August 2006, they released their first studio album as a group, It’s About Time, which sold over 120,000 copies in the United States. However, this wouldn’t be the album that gained the brothers widespread recognition.

A year later, they released their second official album, named Jonas Brothers, which peaked at fifth on the Billboard 200, and to date has sold over 2.4 million copies in the United States. It also received platinum certification in Canada, and gold certifications in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

While their next three albums didn’t receive quite the same level of sales in the United States, they all reached the top of the Billboard 200, selling exceptionally well in Canada.

Forbes Celebrity 100

In 2019, following the release of their fifth album, Happiness Begins, the Jonas Brothers embarked on the Happiness Begins Tour. This was effectively a reunion album and tour, since the brothers hadn’t released any new music for a decade. The tour itself grossed over $120 million between August 2019 and February 2020, just before the industry was shut down due to the COVID pandemic.

During the tour, the Jonas Brothers performed at 92 shows, averaging $1.3 million per show. In 2020, Forbes listed the group 20th on the Celebrity 100, with an estimated $68.5 million in earnings for the year. This should equate to Nick Jonas earning approximately $23 million between June 2019 and June 2020.

Real Estate

Los Angeles Home

In 2013, Jonas paid $3.2 million for a 3,175-square-foot home in Los Angeles, California. He relisted the property two years later, asking for $3.6 million. According to records, the house sold in April 2015 for $3.4 million, resulting in a slight loss after considering agent fees and property taxes. The buyer resold the home in 2018 for an impressive $5.2 million.

Beverly Hills Home

In April 2018, Nick paid $6.5 million for a 4,129-square-foot home in Beverly Hills, California. However, he resold the property just one year later for $6.91 million.

Encino Mansion

In 2019, Jonas and Priyanka Chopra paid $20 million for a 20,000-square-foot mansion in Encino, California. In 2023, the couple filed a lawsuit against the previous owner due to water damage and mold issues, which made the property “virtually unlivable.” Reports suggested the necessary repairs could cost between $1.5 million and $2.5 million.
