This was my grandmother's name, and I'd really like to use it. I think it's a beautiful name, but I worry that she would get teased mercilessly about all things virgin.

I can't seem to find a nickname for it that clicks. So far, I've seen Ginny, Gina, Gigi, and Virgie. Can you think of any others that could work?

hmm... personally id use it as a middle name. virginia sounds way to close to vagina for me. sorry :/ if youre set on it as a first name i think ginny is the cutest nickname :)

One of my favorite women is Virgina (Virgi). I think it's a pretty name with history.

I know one that goes by Vi (said as though it rhymes with sky) and I love that the other Virginia's I know go by Ginny.

My Aunt is Virginia and I have always called her Ginny or Aunt Ginny. She is smart and sophisticated. I think it's a great name and the nicknames that you came up with are the best ones for the name.
