The SNKRS app is an enigma. Despite countless draws, shock drops, and other tactics pushed onto the app, people are still puzzled how and why Ls continue to stack up. While Nike will never unveil its formula for the SNKRS app, the Swoosh pushed back the curtain on how its Exclusive Access program works.

Exclusive Access is a limited invitation from the app that lets consumers buy the pair a few days or weeks ahead of release day. How EA is granted has always been speculated. However, as the OFF-WHITE x Nike Dunk Low 50 collection is on its way, Nike unveiled how EA works.

According to the brand, those who interact the most with the content on the app are offered EA. This includes, but isn’t limited to, watching the “Behind the Designs” videos, polls, entering releases, and SNKRS Live sessions. And while transparency about how SNKRS works is great, we’re still scratching our heads to see if that’s really how Exclusive Access works.

We recommend members continue to interact with the app at a high volume to increase their chances of EA. But, the sneaker community still feels like it can’t be that simple as a lot of engagement is already created, and there’s hardly any EA to show for it.
