I've played for about 30 horus and have never seen such a thing, nor a single glowing mushroom. Do I need to do something for these to appear? I'm really worried that the Hallow and Crimson will eat everything before I can recruit Truffle. I wouldn't care much except that if I understand correctly, I need to have some underground mushroom biome in order to get Duke Fishron's awesome loot. < > Showing 1-8 of 8 comments amyasleigh View Profile View Posts 21 Jul, 2014 @ 11:58pm Hallow and Corruption (well, crimson for me) don't seem to effect mushroom biomes. All I can say is try to fill out your underground map, I found mine just above the underworld with my first hellevator. #1 Cyrogen View Profile View Posts 22 Jul, 2014 @ 12:35am If you can't find it, you can always join someone else's game & get them to give you some mushroom grass seeds, then you can grow your own on your world. #2 ShadeDaystar View Profile View Posts 22 Jul, 2014 @ 2:55am I haven't found a naturally occuring mushroom biome above Cavern Layer. And one fo them spawned inside my underground jungle.Keep searching your world. The chances of you not having one at all is pretty slim. Also, if you're worried about Hallow/Corruption/Crimson swallowing it, don't rush to Hardmode.If you're really having a tough time, you can always create another world and see if you can find one there. #3 Torchfire View Profile View Posts 22 Jul, 2014 @ 4:30am One mushroom binome always occurs near the center of the map, no more than a screen or two away (horizontally) from the original spawn point. The thing is that a number of them appear, but each one can be small enough that you miss it randomly digging.
