Another lost fumble Fant caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's loss to the Browns, but fumbled that reception and that fumble was returned for a touchdown for the third time this season. Impact Fant's fumble was the perfect cap to a truly disappointing season, one where he caught 34 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The last of those touchdowns came in Week 9 against the Bears. He enters the offseason as a free agent after signing a one-year, $2.75 million deal with the Bengals. Impact Fant missed Cincinnati's Week 16 game due to an ankle injury, but he'll return after logging a pair of limited practice sessions to begin the week before being a full participant Friday. He isn't likely to occupy a significant role in the offense, as he's commanded two or fewer targets in four consecutive contests. DECEMBER 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE Questionable despite full practice Fant (ankle) has been labeled as questionable to suit up against the Cardinals on Sunday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports. Impact Fant hurt his ankle against Baltimore in Week 15 and didn't play last Sunday against Miami. He was deemed limited for the first two practices of this week before logging a full session Friday. Despite the FP, Fant is officially questionable to play Sunday, but he's probably more likely than not to be available. DECEMBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE Limited to open Week 17 prep Fant (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday. Impact Fant sustained an ankle injury during the Bengals' Week 15 loss to the Ravens. He was unable to play against the Dolphins in Week 16, but his ability to practice Wednesday -- albeit in a limited capacity -- indicates that he is progressing in his recovery. Fant would likely avoid an injury tag for Sunday's game against the Cardinals if he were to practice fully by Friday. DECEMBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE Won't play in Week 16 Fant (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Impact Fant limped off the field in the second quarter of Sunday's matchup versus the Ravens. The 28-year-old has 33 receptions for 283 yards and three touchdowns in his previous 12 games this season. If the seventh-year veteran is unable to return, Tanner Hudson will likely take over as the No. 3 tight end for the remainder of the game. DECEMBER 14, 2025 • ROTOWIRE Minimal production against Bills Fant caught one of two targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 39-34 loss to the Bills. Impact Fant was not a major factor in the Bengals' passing attack Sunday, recording just one grab for the third straight contest. The veteran tight end played 25 of Cincinnati's 60 offensive snaps, behind Drew Sample (27) and tied with Mike Gesicki. It was Gesicki, however, who had the biggest impact of any Bengals tight end, catching all six of his targets for 86 yards and a touchdown. With Gesicki operating as the team's top tight end in the passing game, Fant remains very difficult to trust for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Ravens. With Mike Geiscki (pectoral) on injured reserve, Fant has been more of a factor in the passing game since Gesicki went down in Week 6. Impact Fant played 50 percent of offensive snaps and secured all four of his targets for 27 yards during the Bengals' loss to the Packers in Week 6, showing solid chemistry with new quarterback Joe Flacco. Gesicki played just two offensive snaps before being forced out versus Green Bay, so it's reasonable to project Fant for a similar role, at the least, at home against Pittsburgh on Thursday Night Football. With reserve tight end Tanner Hudson (concussion) also looking unlikely to play Thursday, it's possible Fant benefits from another uptick in opportunities as Cincinnati's top TE.
