English - Chinese A Maths question is "Two fair dice are thrown. Find the probability that the sum of the two numbers is not less than 10." So not less than 10, is it include 10? Or 10 is not included? This is not a Maths question, just an English expression on Maths.DonnyB

British English "Not less than 10" does include the number 10. Think of it as meaning "the sum of the two number is 10 or greater"Andygc

"Less than 10" = any number smaller than 10 "Not less than 10" = any number that is NOT "any number smaller than 10" Is 10 a number smaller than 10? No. Therefore 10 is within the set "not less than 10". Which is just a fancier way of saying what Cenzontle said, but including more than just whole numbers. PS. Ah-ha. Seems that I caught lordignus making a quick edit there
