NWR - What Does NWR Stand For In Work Emails?

Not work related

In work emails, NWR stands for "not work related." A NWR email might contain your co-worker's opinion on the latest iPhone, an invitation to hang out outside work, a hot stock tip, or any other subject matter that's not strictly work related.

Typically, you'll see NWR preceding a piece of not-entirely-relevant-to-work information your co-worker wants to share with you. For example, a sentence that begins "This is NWR, but ... " or "Totally NWR: ... " will likely end with a digression into a non-work related topic.
