Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jan 30, 2017 The B1S2 sensor is the rear bank (bank 1 is always the bank with cylinder #1) and sensor 2 means the sensor downstream of the catalytic converter. So, it's the downstream sensor on the rear. You'll have to access it from underneath the vehicle. Sensor 1 is up on top. That said, the code you have is for the heater circuit. It's possible it's the sensor but it's also possible it's the wiring, the connector, or the driver in the PCM. What I would do is unplug the sensor and check the sensor's heater resistance with an ohm meter. The heater will be the two white wires on the sensor itself. It should be around 4-13 ohms or so. If it's open or very high resistance then the heater is bad and you're probably safe replacing the sensor. #3 · Jan 30, 2017 thank u so much!.... i went under the car and can't find the sensor near the cat. converter. Is the plug under the passenger seat or under one of the back seat? My code reader diagnosed the problem as o2 bank 1 sensor 2, but i'll check the plug after I locate it. 0 Reply #4 · Jan 30, 2017 You didn't post any year and model information for your Ody but you're posting in the 2011-2017 forum so I'll assume it somewhere in that range. I looked up a 2013 Ody EX-L for a diagram for you. The B1S2 is part #21 in the diagram below. The converters bolt directly to the engine and the one you're looking for is on the back side (firewall side) of the engine, below the converter. CONVERTER for 2013 Honda ODYSSEY 5-DOOR #5 · Jan 30, 2017 I think the actual connector is up higher on a bracket attached to the cylinder head but just follow the wire and you'll find it. Remember, your code reader does NOT tell you what part to change. It only gives you a clue. Just because it says B1S2 O2 sensor heater does NOT necessarily mean you need a new O2 sensor. That might be the failure, of course, but the code ONLY means it sees a problem in the heater circuit. That heater circuit includes more than just the O2 sensor heater. There are fuses, wiring, and a PCM that can fail and trip that code. I'd say it's pretty likely that it's the sensor but it is not 100% guaranteed.
