Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Dec 12, 2014 That is not a DTC code, but the communications signal protocol of the OBD port on the vehicle - a code reader or code scanner is needed, that supports ISO 9141-2 interface (most do, it's an old (slow) protocol / standard) to communicate with the vehicle's Engine Control Unit, or (ECU) - On-board diagnostics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia gives more information. * A code reader or scanner hooked up to the OBD-II port of your vehicle would return a Diagnostic Trouble Code, or (DTC) code that typically begins with "P" and has 4 digits following, which denotes the specific subsystem / component being reported.
