About the Game[]

Super Animal Royale is a top-down multiplayer survival shooter/battle royale for up to 64 adorably murderous Super Animals. Select your favorite from a menu of foxes, pandas, kitty cats, and other bloodthirsty beasts. Then, parachute into the ruins of an ill-fated safari park and fight off a lethal barrage of bullets, explosives, and silly dancing.

Cut tall grass and loot abandoned structures in search of the weapons, explosives and health juice you’ll need to survive. Watch out for the poison gas, slowly seeping in from the edges of the map, pushing all the remaining animals closer and closer together. Super Animal Royale features carefully balanced run and gun gameplay combined with an intuitive fog of war system that restricts a player’s view to line of sight, allowing for sneaky, strategic play. Whether predator or prey, only one animal can reach the top of the food chain, and with guns in their paws it's anyone's guess which one it'll be.[2]

Timeline of development[]

• Built an early prototype of a Battle Royale game in early 2016 and did not settle on what would become Super Animal Royale until October of 2017.
• Core Pixile team hired throughout 2018.
• Alpha testing for Super Animal Royale began in Spring of 2018, Discord server was created.
• December of 2018, Super Animal Royale launches into Early Access.
• November 17th, 2020, Super Animal Royale Super Free Edition becomes the base game and is no longer a demo.
• June 1st, 2021, Super Animal Royale launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S consoles via Xbox Game Preview.
• August 26th, 2021, after being in Early Access for nearly 3 years, Super Animal Royale is fully released. Also released on all major consoles (Playstation 4 and 5 and Nintendo Switch).
• December 14th, 2021, Super Animal Royale releases on GeForce Now and on Google Stadia.
• May 8th, 2024, Super Animal Royale is no longer published by Modus Games becoming a self-published game title[4]
