Ohio is a state in the Midwestern United States. Bordered by Lake Erie to the north, Pennsylvania to the east, West Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, Indiana to the west, and Michigan to the northwest. Nicknamed the "Buckeye State" after its Ohio buckeye trees, "Birthplace of Aviation" because Dayton, OH was the home of Wilbur and Orville Wright who invented and flew the first aircraft, and also "The Heart of It All" due to shape of the state with resembled a heart. Of the fifty states, it is the 34th-largest by area. The state is named after the Ohio River. The word Ohio originated from the Seneca word ohiÀêyo'h, meaning "good river". A popular tourist destination in the state is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
