2 Jun, 2016 @ 2:26am If your where I think your at in the game, yes that version of Seymor IS A PAIN IN THE ARSE!My best advice to you is the farm AP and get as many stats through the speargrid as possible until it AP lvls start slowing down to a crawl, by then it should be easier to beat him. #1

2 Jun, 2016 @ 2:34am Seymour will dismiss your aeons after they have one turn, so if you don't have an overdrive prepared it's usually not worth summoning them unless you want to try using Yojimbo to Zanmoto him (which is easier when he has a full overdrive gauge anyway). It's not cheating, it's just how that particular boss fight works: god help you if you ever try and beat all of the monster arena. That particular fight is tough, but it certainly isn't impossible. #3

2 Jun, 2016 @ 5:03am Using the Overdrive of Bahamut (or any aeon for that matter) incurs a heavy delay penalty, that is why he gets so many turns afterwards.I finally managed to beat him using a FAQ. If you don't mind doing the same, here's the one I used (scroll down a little to the blue box titled "Seymour Flux"): http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps4/102484-final-fantasy-x-x-2-hd-remaster/faqs/69037?page=4#section132 #5

2 Jun, 2016 @ 5:11am If you really struggle, as another posted just use Zanmato. Or failing that try a mix with Rikku for trio of 9999, I assume you don't know any so just use google to find the right ones. #8

2 Jun, 2016 @ 6:19am Use Bio, or anything that inflicts Poison. I know it's cheap, but... #10

2 Jun, 2016 @ 6:28am Use Mighty guard to tank out Total Anihilation (if you learned it from Biran). Use Wakka's Silence Buster to keep him from using Flare etc. Be sure to heal/swicth out Zombified characters too.The hardest part is to survive TA. The rest of the fight isn't hard. 2 Jun, 2016 @ 6:54am The Seymour fight at Mt Gagazet is a very common roadblock in this game. I distinctly remember it being the point where I got stuck on my very first playthrough back on the PS2 version.I wouldn't bother with aeons as Seymour will just dismiss them. Bio works particularly well against this boss so I would make sure Lulu can cast it for this fight, it makes it a lot easier. Also make sure you have haste on all your party, get Tidus to keep using cheer as it boosts attack and defense, and it can stack up to 5 times I think. It does make a difference.Get Yuna to cast shell on the party as this will protect against the Total Annihilation attack.Another thing that can help is any armour that has zombie ward, this can prevent the annoying Lance of Atrophy / Full Life combo from killing off your party members. In a nutshell though, poison him with bio, then bash away at him with whoever your strongest guys are but more importantly just make sure everyone stays alive, he'll go down before too long. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 24 comments Per page: 1530 50 FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 2 Jun, 2016 @ 2:17amPosts: 24

I agree, it is far from necessary though, but if you read they say they failed 10years ago at the same point, so a nice cheap method may be the just the ticket. #13Originally posted by Tetsuo:If you really struggle, as another posted just use Zanmato.
