Course Outline

As a graduate of our program, you’ll learn everything you need to know to start your new career. You will develop hands-on skills to help your clients' recover from injury, avoid the harmful effects of stress, and live a healthier life. In this course, you’ll study the basics of therapeutic massage techniques and advanced concepts in anatomy, human physiology and kinesiology. In addition, you’ll will be trained to implement business and marketing strategies and effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and clientele.

How Does Online Massage Therapy School Work?

U.S. Career Institute’s Massage Therapy program is a combination of theory and hands-on-training. Our program is 650 clock hours – that breaks down to 450 online theory hours and 200 hands-on training hours. The 200 hours of hands-on training is condensed into 4 weeks of onsite training at our Fort Collins, CO Massage Therapy School. We generally hold between 6-8 sessions of hands-on-training per year.

Beth earned her Master of Business Administration from Towson University and her Bachelor of Arts from Converse College. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Certified Reflexologist with the Tennessee Massage Licensure Board and Reflexology Registry. Beth holds certifications in Pre- and Post-Natal Massage and Infant Massage. She is an NCBTMB Continuing Education Provider and Master Teacher in Abdominal Massage. Beth is the owner and program director of Contatto Wellness Education Center. Her professional experience includes roles as a senior instructor at the Tennessee School of Therapeutic Massage for eleven years and continuing education and substitute teacher of bodywork techniques, anatomy, and physiology. Beth has also designed and implemented courses in reflexology and pre-natal massage. Her diverse background includes marketing and community volunteerism.

How do I do hands on training?

Our massage program includes 4 weeks (200 hours) of hands-on-training at our Ft. Collins massage therapy school in Fort Collins, CO. We generally hold between 6-8 sessions of hands-on-training per year.

Can I do the hands-on-training anywhere else?

Our hands-on-training is only offered in Colorado, if you are unable to attend, you can check with your state requirements to see if they will allow you to do the online portion and then supplement any hands-on hours locally.

Where would I stay during hands-on-training (HOT)?

You will be responsible for your travel & accommodations to attend hands-on-training in Fort Collins, CO.
