Volume buttons to activate pairing prob activate some debug mode. You want to do a longpress when turning it on. So you hold the power button, itll say "Power on", right? Hold it until it says "Bluetooth pairing". Apparently its a 3 seconds gap between the pairing mode and power on, so most of us are simply turning it on and thats it. It does autopair the first time you turn it on. I havent checked to see if I need to unpair it first but Im pretty sure you do. Tldr; turn it off, turn it back on but hold the power button until it says its pairing.Karma responded : 1:23pm, 22nd August 2019 (7 years ago) Ok so I my old onn earbuds stopped working so I bought another pair of onn earbuds. So Ive tried pressing the power button 4-5 seconds, didnt connect. Then I tried pressing + and - buttons at the same time and That got it to appear however every time I try to connect it, it just says that it cant connect and to check whether my Bluetooth device is on. Problem with the Pin only happens if you're using volume buttons to go into Pairing... Instead, when powering On, you hold the button longer till it says Pairing Mode... Will connect to phone without prompting for a pin.Dann that took me awhile to figure out. My 1yr old son got ahold of my instructions sheet but already had it paired to my old phone. Never needed the pin code to connect. I have a pink (1833A) BT ONN earphone set and I just kept pushing everything together n different then what yall were saying n nothing worked until I held down the down volume button & the power button n the middle for maybe a second then it said BT pairing. I'm so glad I got on here to see what everyone else suggested & now I got it paired & connected to my new phone.
