4. Operation
Your ventilation system with air temperation is controlled using the operating panel. Consult the operating panel manual for more detailed information. The system's key functions are: ■ The ventilation level. Select from the following settings: o Away (PRESET A). Only use this setting when you plan to be away for an extended period. The ComfoCool Q600 is always off when this setting is selected. o Preset 1 . This is the lowest setting. Use this setting when there are fewer people than normal in your home. o Preset 2 . This is the normal setting. Use this setting when the dwelling is being used normally. o Preset 3 . This is the highest setting. Use this setting when you require extra ventilation, e.g. when cooking, showering or if you are entertaining. Also use this setting when the dwelling needs to be tempered. o Temporary high level BOOST. When you use this setting, the system will ventilate at level three for a given period. The system will then return to the previous setting. Use this setting when cooking or showering. ■ The temperature profi le. Your ComfoCool Q600 equipped ventilation system tries continuously to maintain the temperature of the return temperature of the heat-recovery unit based on your set temperature profi le. This temperature may have to be achieved by the unit automatically opening the bypass valve or activating the active air temperation. For more5. Maintenance
appears on the information, read section 3. o The temperature profi le can be set by selecting COOL, NORMAL or WARM in the menu TASK MENU under the option TEMPERATURE PROFILE. ■ Your heat-recovery unit is fi tted with a system that detects whether it is summer or winter. In the summer, the active air temperation can be activated, while this is not desirable under normal winter conditions. o Active air temperation can be deactivated. In the menu TASK MENU you will see an option COMFOCOOL that can be set to either OFF or AUTO. Select "ComfoCool Q600 Off" if you do not wish to use active air temperation, even if your dwelling gets warmer than the required temperature profi le. Please make sure your ComfoCool Q600 ventilation system is checked and cleaned by a installer once every 4 years. Note: Only a recognised cooling-technology installer may disassemble and clean the ComfoCool Q600. Cleaning condensation drain Your ventilation system is fi tted with siphons for the condensation drain. When running, the ComfoCool Q600 discharges no more than 2.5 litres of condensation an hour. It is therefore important that the siphons and especially the drain's waste-water connector are clean and clear of blockages. Check your condensation drain once a year. Cleaning ventilation valves Your ventilation system is fi tted with valves for air supply and air exhaust. Exhaust valves are fi tted in the wall or ceiling of the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Supply valves are fi tted in the wall or ceiling of the living room and the bedrooms. If the valves become visibly dirty, then clean them. Hold the valve on its outer edge and pull it with a rotating movement entirely from the wall or ceiling. Clean the valve with soap, then rinse it and dry it. Always remount the valve in the wall or ceiling in the same way you removed it. Take care not to swap the valves, and try to avoid altering the valve settings. Filters Your heat-recovery unit is equipped with fi lters that prevent the heat exchanger from becoming contaminated with dust. It is very important that these fi lters are cleaned or replaced occasionally. Consult the heat-recovery unit manual for instructions. EN - 17 Table of Contents Previous Page Next Page- 1
