St. Pete’s hometown airport just added a little attitude to its terminal. This week, St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport debuted a custom motorcycle built by Orange County Choppers Road House & Museum, now on display inside the airport.
The sleek new OCC chopper was customized by Paul Teutul Sr., entrepreneur, TV celebrity, motorcycle builder, and founder of the world-renowned Orange County Choppers. The unique bike comes from the personal collection of OCC Road House owner Keith Overton and showcases images of iconic locations around St. Pete/Clearwater. Anyone can view the bike and its display in the airport’s baggage claim.

The display is a collaboration between OCC, PIE, and Visit St. Pete/Clearwater. The 7-by-9 display area features four large video screens showing images of the bike being built, and a welcome message encouraging arriving passengers to explore popular area attractions. Soon to be on display alongside the custom chopper will be a new Harley Davidson Street Bob Motorcycle, which has also been customized by Teutul Sr.
“We’re excited to participate in this partnership as it allows us to showcase St. Pete/Clearwater in an unconventional and engaging way while also extending our message to Teutel’s loyal fan base,” said Steve Hayes, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater President/CEO. “St. Pete/Clearwater is renowned for its award-winning beaches, but this display will showcase the attractions beyond the beach that make our area so distinct. From the images on the bike, to the display, we want visitors to be inspired to explore an attraction that might not have been on their radar.”
Recently-opened OCC Road House brings big energy, unique dining
OCC Road House & Museum opened last year at 10575 49th Street North, bringing a massive new restaurant, entertainment venue and attraction based on Teutul’s wildly popular Orange County Chopper brand. The sprawling venue is located next to Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson.
Beyond the motorcycle showcases, OCC Road House has delivered a huge menu full of filling eats. Starters like fried frog legs, gator tail and carnitas nachos are joined by a long list of pizzas, burgers, smoked meats, salads and southern-style sides.
As described on its website, “The makers of the finest hand-crafted, American made motorcycles in the world have built a restaurant, concert venue and museum to bring the OCC experience to life in St. Petersburg, Florida. Get ready to rev your engines, sip some cold brews and hit the open road at OCC Road House & Museum.”
