Indian Rocks Beach Florida - Overview

Indian Rocks Beach is located on a barrier island on the West Coast of Florida, only a 30 minute drive from Tampa International Airport.

Indian Rocks Beach attracts many tourist due to it's wide sandy beaches and convenient proximity to many Florida Attractions including Busch Gardens, Walt Disney World, Universal Studio, and Sea World, as well as the cities of Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa.

Indian Rocks Beach provides an abundance of vacation rental options, several outstanding restaurants, and a variety of gift and convenience stores.

Gulf Boulevard runs North & South through Indian Rocks Beach. To the North is Belleair Beach and Belleair Shores with Sand Key and Clearwater Beach beyond. To the South is Indian Shores & the Redingtons. Across the Intracoastal via the Walsingham Bridge is the City of Largo.

Indian Rocks Beach is located on a barrier island bordering the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

Developed in the 1920's as a weekend getaway destination for inland residents, Indian Rocks Beach is now a popular home to people of all ages. Although it's small in size, just under 1 sq. mile of land with about 4,000 residents, Indian Rocks Beach is a thriving beach community. The residents include young families, empty nesters, northern snowbirds and active retirees.
