One of Overwatch 2's biggest appeals is the ability to choose from various unique heroes. Most of these fighters play and feel mechanically unique, and each has their own set of satisfying abilities and weapons as well as team roles. This vast array of moves and abilities in the arena sets the stage for a fun and frantic time. In addition to this, each hero has their own distinguishable characteristics and often rich backstories. While there is some overlap in narratives, many of the origin stories are distinct and exist in separate locales.

This makes for ample entertaining reading material, as well as animated shorts featuring many fan-favorite Overwatch heroes. With so many characters and supplementary OW-related content, it can be tough to keep track of all the details surrounding this ever-expanding lineup. This includes even more basic details such as their age and physical traits like height, which isn't exactly easy information to find.

This Scottish Tank, real name Findlay Docherty, is a member of the Phreaks, a criminal group specializing in modifying human bodies. They're a tight-knit criminal group with a love for life and partying.

He sought them out after an aircraft he was in, in service of Overwatch, crashed, and he lost both his feet and an arm. They outfitted him with superior prosthetics and he has been a proud member ever since.

Mauga

Maugaloa Malosi, the Samoan heavy assault specialist, is as big in stature as he is in heart. That's literal, he has two hearts, a cybernetic one and his original genetically enhanced heart.

A former member of the Deepsea Raiders and current member of Talon, Mauga has links to multiple characters throughout the lore of the game, portraying himself to many of them as a dumb brute despite his true cunning.

Venture

Venture continues the track record Overwatch 2 has for representation, being a confirmed non-binary character. An eccentric archaeologist they seek out adventure wherever they can, armed with a chunky handheld drill.

This Canadian hero, real name Sloan Cameron, is extremely likable despite some idiosyncrasies. Not many other people have always wanted to be eaten alive by scarabs, after all.

Illari

Illari Quispe Ruiz is one of the youngest human characters on the Overwatch 2 roster. This Peruvian warrior comes equipped with a stunning solar rifle that is equipped for both damage dealing and healing alike.

The last of the Inti Warriors, Illari is an avatar for the power of the sun. With solar threads woven throughout her body that's more than just myth, she truly embodies the legacy of her people.

Juno

The first human to have been born on Mars, Juno Teo Minh is human but no less an extra-terrestrial. This unusual origin is evident through oddities in her dialogue, like never using contractions, and her obliviousness to many things Earthlings consider normal.

Her gameplay revolves around her advanced sci-fi tier technology, like pulsar torpedos and jumpboots, better equipping her for her role in the game as a Support hero.

Lifeweaver

Lifeweaver was born Niran Pruksamanee in Chang Mai, Thailand. On a mission to heal the world, this scientist seeks to use his biolight technology to do just that. Small wonder then that he fills the Support role in the game.

Designed to portray the hopeful mission of Overwatch he still manages to have a bounty on his head across 17 countries as stated in his dialogue with Pharah. Despite his mission of healing, he's aiming for an even 20.

D.va

The mech-piloting gamer known as Hana Song got her start in the game at a rather young age. D.va has quite the repertoire for one who's yet to reach adulthood. This tank hero has been a prominent figure in fighting Omnic forces and defending her homeland in her explosive mech.

But she's also found time to be an actress, pro gamer, and of course, one of Overwatch's go-to tank heroes. Given the size and power of her rabbit-like mode of transport, D.va manages to be nimble and mobile while being a good damage sponge. As a result, this sassy gamer can be a menace on the battlefield.

Doomfist

Height	7'1"

Akande Ogundimu — fittingly known as Doomfist — was born into a Nigerian family of high esteem. He is heir to their prosthetic-tech company, and utilizes one of its gadgets during his stint as a Talon mercenary. Losing his right arm in the Omnic Crisis only made him stronger, as a prosthetic hand from his family's company would enhance the already powerful brawler.

However, it would also bar him from competing in fights and wrestling tournaments; a passion of his. An Overwatch team would imprison him, but he would break free and rise to prominence in Numani once again, thanks to the reclaiming of a coveted gauntlet.

Junker Queen

Visually and thematically, Junker Queen may seem to have much overlap with the similarly-themed Junkrat. Yet, she acts as more of a distant counterpart to the explosive agent of chaos, with her close-range brawler style and survivalist nature. Her large, tanky build and various means of healing make her a true force of nature.

Given her history, and how tough she can be to take down in battle, it's no surprise that Odessa earned the title of 'Queen of Junkertown'. This fierce, Omnic-hating leader of the Junker society has ruled over this clan for a decade, keeping most in fear by ruling with an iron fist and a large axe.

Orisa

This creation of Numbani's kid genius Efi Oladele excels with her defensive prowess while also being fairly mobile. But she also stands out amongst Omnics with her tremendous heart and personality. A technical marvel and loyal combatant, Orisa stands ready to protect and fight for her home of Numbani.

Being a new robotic construction during the events of Overwatch (2076), Orisa technically remains the "youngest" hero in the game. But you wouldn't really know it given her sheer power, size, and intelligence.
