Is that true and when did they stop giving the birth certificate for the Harley. I do understand you in that you would think that they would provide you with a hard copy after spending so much $$ You can probably find a hard copy (for sale) somewhere. In the mean while here is the link to find your HD online books, just enter your VIN https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....cle/lookupForm Enjoy your new bike! I haven't heard or read that they no longer provide owner's manuals with a new bike. Could be BS but ask another dealer, if you're entitled to one you should have your dealer get one for you. My dealer handed me an owner's manual when I bought the bike, along with a catalog and some other freebies. Then another when it was delivered - buried in with a bunch of other stuff (I had no license at that point). I'd hit up your selling dealer and let them know that you want the hard copy that came with the bike - I think they're taking the "low road" with you on this... I agree with those that say the dealer should be providing the owners manual. Unlike the older crtificate it also verifies you have the latest calibrations and no trouble codes. Reply 0 0

He also said that the only way you wouldn't get a manual is if the bike came from another dealer and they didn't send the manual with it.
