Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jul 25, 2017 No pix, sorry, but I found this, describes the location. No one corrected him, so I am assuming it's correct: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthre...epair-Oxygen-(O2)-Sensor-Bank-1-B1-Sensor-S2&p=76426775&viewfull=1#post76426775 However, never assume. #3 · Jul 25, 2017 Thank you. I came across that. But I am still not sure where it is located as I am not a mechanic. I will keep searching. 0 Reply #4 · Jul 25, 2017 Bank 1 sensor 1 is the upstream O2 sensor on the passenger side. Poke your head on the backside of the engine and look behind it and the firewall. You should see the sensor there. Also if you're not a mechanic or mechanically inclined, I'd suggest you take it somewhere to get it fixed. #6 · Jul 26, 2017 Thank you 0 Reply #5 · Jul 25, 2017 Its a pain to get back there, But not impossible to do. Get a o2 socket and a breaker bar. Pull the engine cover off and look behind it. You will see 2 down pipes (exhaust) and 2 sensors sticking out of the exhaust. Its the one on the passenger side. You really should do both at the same time. once the sensor is broken free, then follow the wire down under the car. It leads to a black box right next to the cats. Take off the cover and un plug. Plug new one in and re run the wire. It is tight to get the breaker bar down there with the big socket. good luck #7 · Jul 26, 2017 Thank you 0 Reply #8 · Jan 18, 2022 Mobile phone White Light Product Telephony Mobile phone White Telephone Product Telephony how can I fix this on a 2014 Jetta se 1.8t Insert Quotes Post Reply
