'Ozark' fans were immensely excited when Netflix announced back in October that the fourth season of the popular series is set to premiere in 2022, following the success of the previous three seasons.

The first of them was released back in July 2017, while the second premiered in August 2018 and the third aired in March 2020, with all three seasons consisting of 10 episodes apiece.

However, the fourth season of the American crime drama created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams will consist of 14 episodes and, as Netflix announced, it will be split into parts.

Ozark Season 4 - Part 1: Release date

Both of the parts will be released next year, with the first being aired on January 21, 2022, as the popular platform made known back in October.

In the summer of 2020, Netflix announced that the fourth season will also be the last as the creators will wrap up the saga of the Byrdes for good.

"A super-sized season means super-sized problems for the Byrdes, so I'm excited to end with a bang," 'Ozark' star Jason Bateman told EW.

"We're going to do 14 episodes instead of 10, and we're going to split them up in two. So it'll be seven and seven. So it really will be like season four and season five, but they're shorter."

Ozark Season 4 - Part 1: Cast

We have great news for 'Ozark' fans, as the main cast of the popular Netflix series will return for the fourth season, with Bateman featuring as Marty, Laura Linney as Wendy, Julia Garner as Ruth, Lisa Emery as Darlene, Sofia Hublitz as Charlotte Byrde, Skylar Gaertner as Jonah Byrde and Felix Solis as Omar Navarro.

Meanwhile, Veronica Falcon has been cast for the role of Omar's sister Camila and Ali Strokert has been cast as Charles-Ann.

Ozark Season 4 - Part 1: Trailer

Netflix released a trailer on October 19, when they also officially announced the date of the fourth season's premiere.
