crv2610 C I had my check engine light go on and I took the car to Auto Zone to get the code. The code was P1078, when I called the local Honda service department; they told me that it could be a problem with my transmission. The vehicle will occasionally sputter and it feels like I am going over the speed bump at a toll way at 10-25 MPH. I also took it to a local mechanic when I told him the issue he said it more than likely an issue with the intake manifold. The light did go off eventually. Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance on which way to proceed? I'm getting almost 24miles/gallon now, before I was getting only 20miles/gallon, definitely changed my gas mileage and no more check engine light. #4 · Jul 7, 2016 Reylan or anyone having replaced the valve, did you replace the valve yourself or have the dealer do it.? Currently have the P1078 on the Wife's 2004 CRV with 110,000 miles, had the code cleared at Oreillys and asked the wife to keep her heavy foot out it and so far the code has not come back, yet. I anticipate the code will be back just need to know if you did the alignment with a vacuum tool like what I saw in a youtube video.? Also, did you replace any other gaskets, like the throttle body and intake manifold gasket.? #5 · Apr 7, 2021 (Edited) Fellas, I've got an issue. After completing this tutorial to fix the problem, my vehicle won't start :/. Although I've got power to the vehicle, turning the key to start does nothing. When turning the key to II on the ignition, there seems to be a humming coming from the fuse box. I'm running out of ideas, any input would be greatly appreciated! Jeff EDIT: Resolved After watching this video, I figured that whatever this guy was dealing with was likely the case. This morning I went out to check if power was being delivered to the starter, and found that the cable must have been jostled loose when removing the IMRC system. All it took was a little repositioning to get her going again :) Status Not open for further replies. You have insufficient privileges to reply here.
