Parallel Processing - Psychology Dictionary

data processing wherein at least two chains of functions are carried out at the same time by independent processors. An ability for this in the mind of a human being would justify individuals obvious capacity to carry on varied cognitive acts at the same time. Commonly referred to as simultaneous handling.
