thoughts and resPonse

In this part of the book Death opens up by saying Rudy is going to die in two years. It is a shame really seeing how smart and athletic Rudy is. He does not deserve to die really. Death gives us a hint on how he is going to die when he says Liesel kisses his "dusty, bomb-hit lips." This tells us that Rudy will most likely die by a bomb attack considering this is based on the time of WWII.Max also tries to regain his strength doing push-ups but when he does he imagines himself boxing Hitler, which this shows how much Max dislikes Hitler as I am sure any Jew would. Liesel also continues stealing which I don't really understand why if she already has a home with food but it might be exciting for her at her age.
