Can you give me an example?

If you have 1GB of unused data at the end of the month, you get to keep it to use in the next month, or in the month after that, or the month after that - for up to one year.

Does my max speed data on an Endless Plan carry over?

It doesn’t. As you’ll always have data to rely on.

Is there a limit to how much data I can carry over?

Data Sidekick Plan Shared data Usage Interest free

Who can get a Data Sidekick plan?

A Data Sidekick plan is available to anyone with an active Carryover, Endless or Group plan (Boss plan).

Can I get a Data Sidekick plan as a standalone plan?

The Data Sidekick plan cannot be purchased on its own. You’ll need to link it to an active eligible 2degrees Pay Monthly ‘Boss’ plan.

Don’t have an existing Pay Monthly plan?

You need an eligible Pay Monthly Plan to use your new Data Sidekick Plan. Check out our Pay Monthly Plans or switch your existing Prepay to Pay Monthly through My 2degrees.

What data is included in the Data Sidekick plan?

The Data Sidekick Plan does not have its own data allocation. Instead, it shares data from the Pay Monthly plan it is linked to.

Can I control how much of my data is used on the Data Sidekick plan?

Yes. You can use the 2degrees mobile app to share data in two ways:

• Open Sharing - Both your mobile and data sharing device use data on a first-come-first-served basis. This is the default setting for all Data Sidekick Plans. Standard Shared data terms and conditions apply.
• Monthly Allowance – Only a chunk of your Pay Monthly Plan’s data will be allocated to your data sharing device every month.

Does my Data Sidekick plan also have Endless Data?

No, Endless data is only available on your Pay Monthly mobile plan. If you have used all of you Max Speed data, you will need to buy one of our Add-ons to keep using data on your Data Sidekick plan.

What devices can use a Data Sidekick plan?

The Data Sidekick plan has been designed to be used with data only devices such as Tablets, laptops or mobile hotspotting devices.

Can I make calls and texts using my Data Sidekick plan?

Yes, you can. But these will be charged at standard casual rates so we wouldn’t recommend it. If you need another plan to make calls and texts, then check out our Group plans for better value.

Can I use my Data Sidekick plan overseas?

Yes, either your data sharing device or mobile phone will trigger the Daily Roaming charge each day.

Can I buy a tablet interest free along with a Data Sidekick plan?

Yes. You can now purchase your new tablet interest free over 12, 24 or 36 months with our Data Sidekick plan either online or at any 2degrees retail store.

Watch Sidekick Plan Allocations Usage Interest free

Who can get a Watch Sidekick plan?

Watch Sidekick plans can only be added to active Carryover, Endless or Group plan (Boss plan) with an eligible Smartwatch to connect.

Our Watch Sidekick plan is currently only available for Samsung Galaxy watches and Samsung Galaxy phones.

Note – You cannot add a Sidekick plan on another Sidekick plan ( for e.g. a Watch Sidekick plan cannot be added to a Data Sidekick plan and vice versa )

Can I get a Watch Sidekick plan as a standalone plan?

No, the Watch Sidekick plan cannot be purchased on its own. You will need to link it to an active eligible 2degrees Pay Monthly plan and can be used on an eligible Smartwatch.

Don’t have an existing Pay Monthly plan?

You need an eligible Pay Monthly plan to use your new Watch Sidekick plan. Check out our Pay Monthly Plans or switch your existing Prepay to Pay Monthly through My 2degrees.

What is included in the Watch Sidekick plan?

The Watch Sidekick plan does not have its own data, mins or texts allocation. Instead, it shares from the eligible Pay Monthly plan it is linked to.

No. You will always be on open sharing for data. Both your mobile and watch use data on a first-come-first-served basis.

What devices can use a Watch Sidekick plan?

The Watch Sidekick plan has been designed to be used with LTE enabled Smartwatches only.

Currently this is only available with eligible Samsung Smartwatches.

Can I make calls and texts using my Watch Sidekick plan?

Yes, you can. When making a call or sending a text to your mates from your watch, they will see your primary mobile number, just like they see when you call or text them from your phone. Your Watch Sidekick plan uses the same amount of voice minutes, texts and data on your existing Pay Monthly primary mobile plan.

Can I use my Watch Sidekick plan overseas?

Unfortunately, your Watch Sidekick plan can’t be used overseas at this stage.

While overseas, if your phone and smartwatch are in proximity of each other, they will be connected via Bluetooth instead.

Can I buy a new watch on my Watch Sidekick plan as Interest Free?

You can purchase a new watch Interest Free over 12, 24 or 36 months on an eligible Pay Monthly plan, with a $49 upfront payment. Visit any 2degrees store and our team can help you out, or purchase a new watch online.

• If you choose to add a landline to your broadband plan, you can bring your existing landline number with you. This applies even if you are switching from a copper line connection to a VoIP connection. Alternatively, you can also ask for a new landline number to be assigned to your 2degrees account.
• Wireless Broadband uses different technology than Fibre Broadband. For any 3rd party service that requires broadband such as medical alarms, security alarms or any service that requires a fixed landline, we recommend you check with your provider to ensure it is compatible with Wireless Broadband before signing up to this service.

Delivery:

Please note that we can only deliver purchases from the Online Shop to physical addresses in New Zealand, this doesn’t include PO Boxes or Private Bags. Once you’ve submitted your order, we’ll email you confirmation and a track and trace number, so that you can follow your delivery. Auckland addresses should receive their order the ‘next working day’. For addresses outside of Auckland, delivery of your items could take up to two working days. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee delivery times, this means we can’t be liable for any loss, cost or expense caused by delay in delivery. Before couriers are able to hand over your order, they require a signature. Please ensure you have submitted an address where someone is able to sign for you, if you’re not there, they may leave a card for you to call them to rearrange delivery. Returns:

Faulty or incorrect items: If for any reason the handset or SIM card we send you isn’t exactly what you ordered, or turns out to be faulty, please contact us on 0800 022 022 as soon as possible and we’ll send you a postage-paid courier bag so you can send the order back to us. Please ensure all of the packaging that came with the device, is returned in the courier bag. If somehow the device we sent you turns out to be faulty as soon as you open it up then we will replace it for you at no cost. Just call us within 7 days of purchasing your device on 0800 022 022 and we will send you a courier bag so you can return it. Change of mind: In the instance you have changed your mind, or you wish to cancel a Plan, please see the ‘Change your Mind Guarantee’ section in the full terms and conditions. Manufacturer's warranty: If the device you purchased from us stops working at some point during the applicable manufacturer's warranty period, just call us on 0800 022 022 and we will let you know how you can return the device for repair.
