5 Sep, 2021 @ 11:22am Can't wait for the change. You'd think people would have started getting used to not using OS, but nope, it's an exploit and they will use it, then cry when it's gone and their muscle memory fails them. #1

9 Sep, 2021 @ 6:30am Because it's the only proper method for dealing with unblockable feint to gb that every freshly reworked/released hero just loves to abuse the hell out of.Honestly, i dont get why people are mad at this, it's not as much of a bug as feature in my eyes since:-It's very much punishable by reading your opponent-Has much bigger stamina penalty than a regular parry/heavy attack-Not even chainable (as far as I know)So what the f*ck is the problem then? It's not like ub sf to gb takes more effort than os-ing.... I really cant imagine any better reason for wanting to remove this feature than just being f*cking lazy and expecting to be on the top of the scoreboard consistently just because you're using a new hero. Apparently that's what For honor has become now. Next they'll remove parrying as well since anyone who uses new heroes have no need for it anyway, hyperarmor and I-frame abuse for the win. Originally posted by Chasemans:So if I get it right..OS are the random zones you get hit by when you bait a parry by feinting that nulifies mixups. I met that a few Times (returned to the game after like half a year)... I Gotta say its really annoying and frustrating. #4Originally posted by CuteFluffySpikeBall:What's OS?Option Select. Originally posted by Mr.IAmGodAndAll-knowing:Ok this is gonna sound cheesy but a game for me, especially pvp, is to be challenged in a way that i might overcome. If I throw an OS or do some cheesy overpowered bs that just feels like the person against me will get bored and if i win i will feel like i haven't got challenged. Guess i am expecting from other people as well. But anyway the game is unbalanced af and always will be. It is riddled with broken mechanics and design flaws so i guess it's normal for people to cheese their way to win a regular match... #8Originally posted by Cam Devran:Why? Originally posted by Cam Devran:Your point is irrelevant to the topic and your opinion has no argument to support it. This game is not as unbalanced as you think or believe and it's not getting worse. OS's can be countered and if you feel like someone beats you thanks to OS's than its on you. Go counter them. In high levels using an option select over and over means a death penalty because people know how to counter them and manipulate the opponent over it. You'll struggel against diffirent things after the OS' getting removed and then you'll complain about them no matter what. You'll call them op, cheesy or maybe braindead. Have fun with this logic, but I want you to know that: it won't get you anywhere. #9Originally posted by Mr.IAmGodAndAll-knowing:Why wouldn't they? Originally posted by Mr.IAmGodAndAll-knowing:1. The game is unbalanced my guy sorry to break that to you, the feats between similar uses don't match in effectiveness whatsoever. (Arrow storm - Spear storm for example) Some characters are highly ineffective in dueling situations while other characters are being better in duel than them and being better in other mods as well (LB - BP)2. Ofcourse you can counter OS but that doesn't mean it is broken mechanic. It lacks information my friend. It's not a case of outplaying if you get parried by an OS you don't know which option was used making it harder to read for the next pressure. Plus the reward you get is nothing. 3. Noone with half a brain uses OS over and over. That is the problem it is a mixture of defensive options making the game a gambit everytime an attack pressure is applied making bash offense superior in everyway.4. The game gives you plenty of problems so someone will point them out. Whether in a healthy way or as a rant. This will happen until the mechanical balancing is in place between the cast and i doubt that will ever happen.I was venting when opening the thread but my answer to you was a genuine argument from my perspective but thanks for giving the most dull and emtpty answer... #10Originally posted by Cam Devran:Ok this is gonna sound cheesy but a game for me, especially pvp, is to be challenged in a way that i might overcome. Originally posted by Cam Devran:1. I agree that some feats are unbalanced, but Ubi team is working on balancing them with success so far. It's same for overall character kits as well. Only a few of then are in a few state. And no LB is not unbalanced level weak.2. Yes, its a read game and you get punished for attacking. That's why they're removing OS's, but it doesn't mean you can scold someone for using them because they're a part of this game which means they can use it.You're unaware of which argument you have used and in this case you're defending your false argument with an excuse. You're trying to change the subject of your argument to overall OS's, but your argument is about the people who use them. #11Originally posted by Mr.IAmGodAndAll-knowing:Your point is irrelevant to the topic and your opinion has no argument to support it.
