The shocking news this week of Peppa Pig’s actual height is truly one of those moments where the internet has brought actual harm to the human race.

Online readers were appalled to discover that the cute cartoon character watched by millions of children around the world is in fact a touch over seven feet tall.

That’s right — young Peppa, the child-like character, older sister to George and daughter to Mummy and Daddy Pig, measure up at a mind-boggling 7 foot 1 inches, or 215cm.

And while the idea of a cartoon pig taller than West Coast Eagles ruckman Nic Naitanui would be enough to give adults nightmares — let alone young children — internet users were not yet finished with the meme.

One Twitter user, who has a smarter maths brain than this writer, applied the astonishing fact to the rest of Peppa’s family.
